Bad news but it is not definitive, we must make noise.
The committees of the EU Parliament **voted in favor** of the FTR compromises D & E that **crack down on “unhosted” wallets…**
The entire regulation is going to be voted on later today, but it will probably go through.
**Votes where so close:**
Compromise D: 58 yes | 52 no | 7 abstentions
Compromise E: 62|51|5

Personally I feel really disappointing about this. They know shit about what are they voting for and they are allowed to vote it.
I really think that before voting anything all of them must pass an exam.
This is **not definitive** and it has to pass other processes where things can be fixed but definitely we must have to make ourselves listen to make changes. If we stay silent we are screwed.Thursday, March 31st, 2022 at 15:37 #205198This_Dutch_guy

As a European citizen, I feel outraged. At the same time, not surprised… However it is not definitive indeed, we must make noise before it’s too lateThursday, March 31st, 2022 at 15:37 #205189surrender_the_juice

Note that this is not the final vote. It has no legal impact yet.
There are still a few steps over the next months, including negotiations with representatives of EU countries. The amendments adopted today may be removed at that stage.
