Hi all, I’m someone that doesn’t know too much about crypto.
I meme mined dogecoin about 7 years ago and when it spiked last year I tried to find my old coins, no dice but at the same time I then started to mine again part for the meme part telling myself if I passively made a few $ a day and ignored it for a few years it might have a little bit of value.
Anyways, on to the real point.
I mined a bunch, like, $250 of it, I have it in a wallet known as Exodus. During the Shiba meme rally I converted it all to Shiba (unfortunately at peak and it tanked) and continued mining a bit more doge. I’ve kind of stopped doing that now, my Exodus wallet has $69 (nice) of Shiba in it now and like $20 of Doge.
Obviously it’s not really a lot of money, but it’s still $90.
I do have an interest in investing in crypto long term hence I made a coinbase account which is a bit more ‘central’, I can link my bank account to it and things and it seems easier for me to be able to just add money or withdraw money.
Now down to my question, is there a way for me to get the $90~ out of my exodus wallet and just use it to fund my coinbase accounts initial ‘deposit’?
When I try to send the dogecoin it asks for a dogecoin address – does coinbase support dogecoin, and if so how would I go about getting my dogecoin address from coinbase?
What about with Shiba? When I select the option to send my Shiba to another address it tells me I need to pay an eth fee of 0.002 ETH and I need to add that to my exodus wallet. Exodus gives the option of exchanging, but it wants me to have at least 10m Shiba in order to exchange to anything (such as Doge).
Is there anything ‘easy’ I can do to get access to this $90, or should I just consider it written off?
Overall I just want to get this crypto in one place where I can ‘cash out’ and ‘get in’ without all the jumps of wallets etc and coinbase seems to be the best place for that for me. Just seeing if I can get what’s on my Exodus wallet on to my coinbase account somehow?Thursday, March 31st, 2022 at 16:59 #205441boomstickbutcher
Yes Coinbase supports Doge. You can look up your Doge address from your Coinbase account. Copy and paste that into Exodus as the wallet you want to send to.Thursday, March 31st, 2022 at 16:59 #205442Berry_Mckockimur
You were able to set up a miner but not do a simple crypto transaction? Trade your coins for XLM and send to coinbase for cheapest feesThursday, March 31st, 2022 at 16:59 #205443D-Day_68
SHIB is an Ethereum ERC20 token so it will need some ETH for gas to power the transaction.
Sorry – I don’t think there’s any way around that one.Thursday, March 31st, 2022 at 16:59 #205444International-Fun485
