Im in crypto since February last year and ive seen all the small dips and ups that the crypto market went through and i just watched my coins doing their thing.
It never was something that affected me alot, as usual with investments you buy low, dont get marryed to your investment, and sell when you are in profit.
With the recent massive crash i see many posts about how people are freaking out, losing tons of money, having doubts about many things, and i dont think im different then the usual crypto investor but for some reason, i just dont really care.
Markets down, okay, it will go up again, maybe in a few years but it will. So i was wondering if im missing anything? For now i just buy low and wait, is there anything wrong in my thinking and/or doing?
Edit: also sorry for my English, it isn’t my first language.Sunday, May 15th, 2022 at 07:00 #273809EarthquakeBass
Nah you’re pretty much bang on
Most people just invest too much or get over leverage. Plus we tend to feel losses much more painfully than we appreciate gainsSunday, May 15th, 2022 at 07:01 #273810Super-Froggy
I’m in the same boat. I see my portfolio going down I’m fine with that, but I know that it’ll go up again at some point. Tbh I’m happy cause I bought all the solanas that I wanted to.Sunday, May 15th, 2022 at 07:01 #273819CartelFinancial
It’s probably because you’re not over invested, people had money in there they couldn’t afford to lose and cannot afford to maintain a long term investmentSunday, May 15th, 2022 at 07:02 #273820FrankieTheYoung
some people just doubt a lot I guess. see it with friends too. they’re just unsure about pretty much every decision. same attitude I’m experiencing hereSunday, May 15th, 2022 at 07:03 #273811DecoupledPilot
Depends on two things:
* Did you only invest money you are prepared to lose and don’t really need?
* Did you buy at lower prices than what we have now?
If one of the two above is true then staying calm is easySunday, May 15th, 2022 at 07:04 #273808Itsreallyc45h
You obviously listened to the “never invest more than you can afford to lose” advice.
Good job!Sunday, May 15th, 2022 at 07:12 #273813Electrical_Potato_21

You have been blessed with the gift of patience. The rest of us just need the dopamine of checking the charts every 3 minutes.Sunday, May 15th, 2022 at 07:15 #273812WhereIsTrap
This is good
It clearly indicates that you’re not worried about your money and you’re here to stay

How you feel is exactly how most should feel.
If there was less emotion there would be more stability and less crashes and crazy moonshots. The stability would create conditions for crypto adoption.
You are doing it right.Sunday, May 15th, 2022 at 07:17 #273818irfiisme
Congratulations for growing into a mature investor.Sunday, May 15th, 2022 at 07:18 #273821RustyCryptoCoin
You sire have developed diamond hands. Lol You should not feel anything. This is business. Calculated risk should be at play. DCA is the ultimate guidance. Buy the dips and whenever it is in the highs; skim off the top and learn to take profit.Sunday, May 15th, 2022 at 07:21 #273822KyxeMusic
I’m on the same boat. Somehow it doesn’t affect me that much that the $50 worth of ETH I had are now $25.Sunday, May 15th, 2022 at 07:22 #273815FutureFilthyRich
If you can’t feel anything then you have probably been in the crypto game for quite some time. Stopped feeling after losing my first 1000. Ahhhh life is goodSunday, May 15th, 2022 at 07:25 #273823kirtash93
I think it is not because I don’t feel wrong either. Maybe we are just insane and need professional help. ![gif](emote|emo_pack_1|i_dunno)Sunday, May 15th, 2022 at 07:30 #273816AlternativeOil9620
It’s one of the most important teachings of the Buddha, equanimity can get you through not just the crypto market but also life, owning crypto helps develop this quality.Sunday, May 15th, 2022 at 07:32 #273817Harold838383
Absolutely not. Emotions and investing are not a good mixSunday, May 15th, 2022 at 07:38 #273824doctorLuciffer
My brother is a professional firefighter. He goes into fatal car accidents every week. Children, women, men with fatal injuries. he is always a professional at work. No emotions.
But when he has time off work, I see him suffering.
I just want to say that when buying and selling coins, feelings are to the detriment. But if I don’t deal with my coins, I feel sorry for the people who lost. They were in our community here at Reddit.
Just as they ended up, so can weSunday, May 15th, 2022 at 07:41 #273825BusinessBreakfast3
No, that makes us veteransSunday, May 15th, 2022 at 07:42 #273826Sea-Veterinarian0
A lot of people that are freaking out are people k who are farming or borrowed against their crypto. When there’s a crash you’re likely to get liquidated to payback your debts. For people that only keep their coins on exchanges, there’s not a concern at all because you don’t lose anything unless you sale your coins.Sunday, May 15th, 2022 at 07:42 #273827kindo7
It’s natural to feel low if your investment is down and feel happy when it’s up. It takes skill and maturity to feel zen or calm and not be affected by market movements.
Don’t leverage, don’t put your life savings and research / question the hell out of what you are investing in.
