ParticipantMetamask and most of your governments collect IP addresses for everything you do online. NP, use a VPN right? What happens if your VPN hands your data over or gets hacked?
Following the wake of FTX, I want to remind everyone that supporting cryptocurrency is about supporting the decentralization of finances, power, control and influence. There isn’t blood in the streets because of Uniswap (decentralized) it’s because of FTX (centralized AKA corrupted.) These people are vampires!
Unfortunately, VPN services are almost mandatory for many internet and crypto users now, due to B.S. restrictions put on the internet by people that **want to control you**
.Like most things that are centralized, VPN services get hacked, exploited or simply hand your data over to the government [all of the time](https://cybernews.com/security/one-of-the-biggest-android-vpns-hacked-data-of-21-million-users/).
For these reasons, I have been using a decentralized VPN called Mysterium VPN for the last two weeks with very impressive results! Here is what I’ve found:
* Speeds are wholly compatible with mainstream VPNs.
* Over double! The choice of servers vs NordVPN (probably due to the fact nodes can be run on almost any device.)
* On that note, VPN servers are run primarily from residential I.Ps, instead of Data centre I.Ps. This makes them far harder to detect as a VPN, instead of just a regular home user.
* Pay with Crypto, fiat (ew), Paypal (Musk level ew)Due to my good experience with Mysterium Network so far, I will be exploring the decentralized VPN world further as a token holden and probably node running soon as well. Other projects I don’t know much about but are on my radar are Sentinel (cosmos) and Orchid (ETH). If you haven’t tried a decentralized VPN like MYST, support Crypto and freedom by giving them a shot instead of a scummy centralized provider like NordVPN!

Never knew decentralized VPNs were a thing but the model makes sense more than most of the utility tokens around lol. Nice post thanks.

You can hack NordVPN as long as those SBF sex tapes leak 🤤
