Elon Musk being sued for $258b over Dogecoin promotion. About time really, we all knew what he was doing!Friday, June 17th, 2022 at 06:36 #310194shakerek
Elon Musk Has good lawyers…Friday, June 17th, 2022 at 06:38 #310193thegooddocgonzo
> The lawsuit aims to represent a class of people who’ve lost money trading Dogecoin.
I’m sorry, but this is ridiculous. I’m no Elon fan but I mean, come on. Classic American lawsuit-junkie move. I don’t know how lawyers look at situations like this and reckon they have a case, unless they are just banking on Elon settling to avoid the hassle of litigation.Friday, June 17th, 2022 at 06:39 #310198moon-worshiper

I have zero doubts that Elon Musk will get away with this.Friday, June 17th, 2022 at 06:44 #310196CatBoy191114
Right… because buying doge following his promotion was a 100% unavoidable situation… not an Elon fan, but come on.Friday, June 17th, 2022 at 06:50 #310197SirDextrose
This is like suing a spoon factory for getting fat off eating ice cream all day. Doge was always a shitcoin. If you couldn’t see that you deserve to get punked for your money.Friday, June 17th, 2022 at 06:50 #310200Intelligent_Ear_4004
Any lawsuit against that greedy selfish waste of a human, is a lawsuit I can get behind. No matter how ludicrousFriday, June 17th, 2022 at 06:50 #310201fruitbliss
The man literally tweets his own SEC-regulated stock in the company he controls is overvalued and nothing happens. Zero chance of anything coming of him dabbling in an unregulated market.Friday, June 17th, 2022 at 06:55 #310202ShanktarDonetsk
I’m sure he’s quaking in his boots. His lawyer is probably worth more than another ten combinedFriday, June 17th, 2022 at 07:00 #310203ImnotasuglyasIlook
This is even more ridiculous than all the people hating on Matt Damon because they lost money in crypto lol. There’s no evidence whatsoever that Musk profited in any way from dogecoin. He has admitted to buying BTC. Did he ever actually invest any serious money in dogecoin? If not, how would he profit? So how’s it a pyramid scheme for him? (Reuters article calls it a pyramid scheme lol. I googled it because the link in the OP doesn’t work for me)
And the amount they are suing for. I mean, seriously? Are they representing every single person that has bought dogecoin? Would it even be worth that much?Friday, June 17th, 2022 at 07:00 #310204Harold838383
Yeah you can’t do this retrospectively. Regulate the space and then sue people when they break the rulesFriday, June 17th, 2022 at 07:06 #310205Manikhas
Musk manipulates dogecoin
-The SEC *sleeps*

Good luck in suing the richest man on earth.
