my friend told me he sent me 900 ADA, i look in my wallet and dont see it. this is after giving me 1 ADA to make sure it works fine, which it did i received the 1 ADA.
he then tried sending me 900 ADA to the first wallet he sent the 1 ADA to, and i never received it, and he said thats because he didnt realise it auto regenerates a new
wallet address and the old one can’t be used anymore? is that true? he also said by showing the discord admin my transaction ID of the 900 he sent me (he sent 900 to some address idk),
that i leaked something and that they can steal it from us? is that right?
this is wallet he sent 900 ADA from.
this is the transaction of the 1 ADA (checking if it works fine before doing 900 ADA)
the 1 ADA transaction is in the history but not the 900?Tuesday, November 22nd, 2022 at 22:41 #408967SL13PNIR
You asked the same thing yesterday, and as many of us said in your post, you can reuse any of your receiving addresses as many times as you like. You can prove this yourself very easily with a little ADA if you don’t mind spending a few cents on the transaction fees.
Transaction ids and receiving addresses are public, so no one can steal from you that way – sharing your public wallet information just makes you liable to be targeted by scammers, but it doesn’t give anyone control of your funds.
Either your friend is incompetent and misinformed, or they are not really your friend 🤷🏻♂️Tuesday, November 22nd, 2022 at 22:41 #408968wildmanfree
He either sent it to the wrong address or he lied to you. ‘Old’ addresses don’t disappear, you can reuse them as many times as you want.
