ParticipantIs it possible to buy MATIC directly on Polygon chain? Most services I see require the use of Ethereum chain + bridge to get it to Polygon chain. Is it possible to avoid this? If so, where would you buy from and how would you transfer to Polygon Wallet?

Coinex also has withdraws to MATIC.. fee is .01 matic. Nice to promote any exchange avoiding eth fees. Eth fees are high because of the limited options.

You can buy on any exchange. Almost all of them now support withdrawal of Matic to polygon network. Kucoin, coinEx, Okex, gate.io, crypto.com and binance support that. You also have the option to buy directly to your polygon wallet via credit card from the “Buy” option on Quick swap website after you connect your wallet, but the fees are high. I believe something close to 3%

Dharma wallet has a fiat on ramp direct to polygon. Can buy matic on chain by connecting your bank account.
See below for link. It has a $100 ETH sign on bonus if you use the code. dharma.io/join/damp-sound-1037
Only drawback is that it takes ~6days for the funds to settle.

I bought most of mine on KuCoin, adding Matic network to metamask is very easy, if you need a guide just google it(I think I used Medium’s guide when I added it) I have a chunk of my matic in my metamask wallet along with a handful of shitcoins I bought on the matic network

If you ask me the fee can be pretty steep, but if you want to buy directly to your wallet there’s also Transak?
It’s pretty direct, and a little cheaper than the amount you lose in slippage from constantly changing currencies?
EDIT: If you can though Kucoin or Binance is still the better option just cos they’re cheaper.

You can always just buy XLM and bridge it over to matic for 1 XLM fee
