Ethereum is a decentralized, open-source blockchain with smart contract functionality. Ether is the native cryptocurrency of the platform. Amongst cryptocurrencies, Ether is second only to Bitcoin in market capitalization. Ethereum was conceived in 2013 by programmer Vitalik Buterin.

- I saved the Uniswap Airdrop flow and other flows for designers and developers Hi guys, I'm building, W3Design, a web 3 design pattern library and saved the airdrop flow for future reference since it's a one-time thing, this is free and no account required to view, here's the link: [https://w3design.io/flows/filter=claimAirdrop](https://w3design.io/flows?filter=Claim%20airdrop) Its' new but I've got 4 apps already on it, so let me know if you have some suggestions to improve it or other suggested apps. :) Have a good day

- Most Web 3 games, in my opinion, are simply not entertaining enough to attract non-crypto natives Did you ever consider that there are fewer players in crypto P2E games because they are afraid of dealing with wallets, private keys, and passwords? I suppose that's because the vast majority of people are unfamiliar with crypto, Web3, or any blockchain-crypto-related topics, and GameFi repels them. Do you have the same impression? Someone said that it looks like these games were designed by crypto people rather than game people; do you agree? I believe it all depends on the game. If you've ever played in a WAM tournament, you'll know how simple it is to figure out everything and how enjoyable and profitable these games can be. Most Web 3 games, in my opinion, are simply not entertaining enough to attract non-crypto natives. When mobile or free-to-play games first arrived in the United States, the same thing happened. Console gamers were unconcerned until they saw something entertaining and engaging. Gamers will jump through hoops to play a good game, so developers must act quickly!

- Wallet that supports multiple coins New to the scene, just wondering how certain wallets work in this case . For example, if I use a wallet that supports both bitcoin and ethereum, will I be getting two separate sets of seed phrases since they are on separate blockchains? Or would I be getting just one set of seed phrase… thanks kindly

- I have no clue what is going on and at this point I’m to afraid to ask… Eth2? Side-chains? layer 2s? Locked stake? wrapped eth? How is all of this going to work? Dapps are moving from eth to sidechains and layer 2s, will they move back to eth2 when it is released? Will they move to eth2 for a year or two and then have to move back to layer 2s or side-chains if ETH gets congested? I can't wrap my head around how all of these ERC-20 tokens keep up with this all? A layer ones main job is to be stable and not change a lot. ETH has made so many changes so fast it has my head spinning. How is this sustainable?

- Send ETH from Binance to MetaMask using Arbitrum So I think I threw some ETH to the void, I think. I withdrew my ETH from Binance to my MetaMask wallet using the Arbitrum (got tempted by the $0 fees ) network. Nothing appears in the wallet as of 30 mins after making the transaction. Did I loose my money or is there still hope?

- If you could set up personalized notifications to get automatic updates for on-chain activity for your favorite dApp, which would it be? Web3 user experience is still pretty rough with many dapps having a complete break between the standard user platforms and what happens on-chain. This leads to unpleasant amounts of screen-watching or missing out on critical opportunities if you dare to take a break. Earlier this year Aave integrated a notification service into their front-end that lets users receive updates based on their liquidity health factor. Snapshot added the ability for users to get alerts when a new DAO proposal was created. EPNS rebranded as Push - the notification race is on. If you could pick a Web3 project to have notifications enabled, which would it be? And what would you want to be notified about?

- I have been using a decentralized VPN on Polygon for over 2 weeks now. So far, it is the cheapest and most effective tool for unblocking content I have found. Metamask and most of your governments collect IP addresses for everything you do online. NP, use a VPN right? What happens if your VPN hands your data over or gets hacked? Following the wake of FTX, I want to remind everyone that supporting cryptocurrency is about supporting the decentralization of finances, power, control and influence. There isn’t blood in the streets because of Uniswap (decentralized) it’s because of FTX (centralized AKA corrupted.) These people are vampires! Unfortunately, VPN services are almost mandatory for many internet and crypto users now, due to B.S. restrictions put on the internet by people that **want to control you** .Like most things that are centralized, VPN services get hacked, exploited or simply hand your data over to the government [all of the time](https://cybernews.com/security/one-of-the-biggest-android-vpns-hacked-data-of-21-million-users/). For these reasons, I have been using a decentralized VPN called Mysterium VPN for the last two weeks with very impressive results! Here is what I’ve found: * Speeds are wholly compatible with mainstream VPNs. * Over double! The choice of servers vs NordVPN (probably due to the fact nodes can be run on almost any device.) * On that note, VPN servers are run primarily from residential I.Ps, instead of Data centre I.Ps. This makes them far harder to detect as a VPN, instead of just a regular home user. * Pay with Crypto, fiat (ew), Paypal (Musk level ew) Due to my good experience with Mysterium Network so far, I will be exploring the decentralized VPN world further as a token holden and probably node running soon as well. Other projects I don’t know much about but are on my radar are Sentinel (cosmos) and Orchid (ETH). If you haven’t tried a decentralized VPN like MYST, support Crypto and freedom by giving them a shot instead of a scummy centralized provider like NordVPN!

- Web3 games for phones The global cryptocurrency market has plummeted as a result of the FTX fallout, but more exciting upgrades and events are still taking place in the web3 space, particularly in the game industry. Aeria, a well-known top-tier mobile game developer, is teaming up with Ready Games to transition its most popular games to web3. As a result of the collaboration, the well-known Aeria games will be updated with web3 features and re-released for Android. Do you play some of these play to earn games on your phone? I believe GameFi is becoming increasingly popular on mobile devices. I began playing WAM on their site, which currently has over 3.5 million users, according to the official website, and the platform's mobile app, which is available for download on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, has been downloaded more than 180,000 times since its release. These numbers, I believe, will grow significantly over time. For many years, playing video games was simple. You turned on your computer or console, launched your favorite game, loaded a previous save (or jumped right into online play), and had a good time. But now that we have all of these games on our phones that (let's be honest) we don't let go of, I think it's pretty useful and practical. Do you prefer to play these games on your phone or on your computer and what do you think about the fact that all these games we will soon have available on our phones?

- Fully on-chain order book DEX on ETH Mainnet We invented a new order book model, significantly reducing resource consumption compared to the traditional CLOB model; that makes it possible to run a fully functional order book system as a set of smart contracts on the ETH blockchain while making the gas cost comparable to that of AMMs. We have named this novel order book trading protocol the "Gridex Protocol". **Key Features:** 1. Fully on-chain: Deployed and run on the ETH mainnet just like Uniswap.\* The entire transaction process is executed on-chain, with no deposit or withdrawal process needed. 2. "Maker Orders" in our protocol have introduced a new infrastructure to the ETH ecosystem, allowing users to place orders of any size and price while having a zero-slippage and low-cost (even negative-cost) trading experience. 3. Most of our native tokens (GDX) will be rewarded to community users in just over a month before and after the launch. 100% of the protocol fees will be used to buyback and burn GDX. *\*The Gridex Protocol will also be deployed on mainstream generalized layer 2 networks of ETH, such as Arbitrum and Optimism.* **Next Steps:** 1. Smart contracts are undergoing final optimizations, which will be open-sourced next month with the testnet launch. 2. The airdrop will begin shortly. Follow the official Twitter for the latest updates. **Some Links:** https://www.gridex.org/ Whitepaper: https://www.gridex.org/gridex-whitepaper.pdf FAQ: https://www.gridex.org/faq Twitter: https://twitter.com/gridexprotocol

- ETH Layer 2 network gas usage hits record highs Gas usage on ETH layer 2 networks reached an all-time monthly high. Year on year, the figure has increased by roughly 300%. The ETH network is experiencing increased layer-2 activity, as the amount of gas spent on the network has reached an all-time monthly high. Over 103 billion gallons of gas were consumed in November 2002, a significant increase from 33.2 billion at the start of the year. The amount of gas used to settle layer 2 transactions on ETH has roughly tripled year over year. With the exception of a few blips when the market crashed, this activity has been increasing in 2022. I've been thinking like, this is a milestone for ETH, because only six months ago, the value was at half the current amount and November was the first time that layer 2 networks consumed well over 100 billion in gas. For gas fees I always used Metis, it's necessary to use L2 protocols. I didn't even try anything else even though there are plenty of solutions such as Optimism, Arbitrum, dYdX, Starkware, and Loopring. How about you, what do you use? Overall, layer 2 gas use is expected to increase by approximately 170% in 2022, which bodes well for the crypto market. Adoption of these solutions has risen dramatically in the last 18 months, with low gas fees and quick transactions attracting entities. All of these launches have contributed to an increase in the use of L2 gas. Scalability remains a priority in the ETH ecosystem, with numerous projects announcing expansion and developments.

- Advice on building EVM indexing tools We have built a web3 on-chain marketing tool. Dapps can use our dashboards to find out the relevant wallet addresses who could be their potential customers, Once selected, They can reach out to them. We are using Google big query ethereum public dataset to fetch relevant blockchain data. Is there any other tool which we can use to index EVM data including Wallet balances, Transactions, etc. The most relevant I found is [https://github.com/uniping-xyz/ette](https://github.com/uniping-xyz/ette) .

- BlockFi Files Chapter 11 Bankruptcy November 28th, 2022 | Not Your Keys, Not Your Coins In an unsurprising, yet sad blow to the overall cryptocurrency industry, [BlockFi has officially filed for bankruptcy under Chapter 11.](https://finance.yahoo.com/news/blockfi-bankruptcy-filing-november-28-190907854.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAH9S6bycjeHAx-agcKuUzLeYhQ6mg4Zej3Gl4Tu0chjvQpr7RtpaCAZFxJ8uia26btYWWKqnPcKyYRS16uEuldbI6PSoWeX8wagyuaK9SnnJJ4YC5-gpuQvQKMWxl1_2of4x6aB9IjOXeqpxSQ6FSZo6qKWwVIFIQ5J-Tti22cU1) BlockFi has over 100,000 creditors and is in the red **somewhere between $1b to $10b.** * This is the next logical step in cascading collapses triggered by FTX earlier this month * There is a strong possibility that **other exchanges will collapse** * Money "evaporating" makes it harder for legitimate projects to maintain funding This is a great reminder to move any and all assets off of cryptocurrency exchanges, even if you think they are too big to fail. Simply store them in a hard wallet or even Metamask. As long as you protect your keys, these are your safe haven. It's a tough day to be out here in the blockchain streets, but we will make it together. Just remember to stay decentralized.

- Trying to deposit ETH Noob here. Trying to deposit ETH on to Bybit exchange from ledger. The exchange gives me an “arbitrum” address to deposit (other options available as well like optimism., zkSync and ERC20). However, as I remember, arbitrum is a ?side chain and requires some kind of bridging prior to sending ETH on it?? I don’t use ethereum very frequently so have no idea. So not sure if it’s safe to send.

- Which Layer-2 is the most secure to migrate from L1? Polygon POS only has 100 validators and is being controlled by [5/9 multisigs](https://wiki.polygon.technology/docs/faq/commit-chain-multisigs/) Optimism has not activated fraud-proofs and most other L2s have red warnings on [L2 Beat](https://l2beat.com/scaling/risk) The choice is really ZkSync or StarkEx. On paper ZkSync may be the most secure since it’s ZKR and not validium. However, StarkEx already have billions of TVL and more battle-tested than ZkSync. Is it a good idea to move a lot (like 90%) of my funds on L1 to StarkEx?

- Considering staking ETH directly next year – how would you do it and why? I currently have ETH in a few places, including locked up at CB and on a couple DEXs as WETH. I'm aware of the individual risks of how these are stored/staked/pooled respectively. Next year I'm considering staking ETH directly to further diversify my holding locations. I don't have enough to run a validator, so what would you recommend and why? Additionally, do you think it's worthwhile to create a new Metamask just for the ETH, or stay with the same, or use a different wallet altogether? This would be behind a Ledger. Looking to hear some recommendations - considerations/fees/etc. TIA

- ETH scalability and Braess’s paradox With EIP 4844 integration seemingly closer and closer on the horizon it seems like we are about to witness the beginning of major breakthroughs in scalability, and this is only the beginning of the major changes to come. The ultimate goal of these upgrades is to reduce L1 gas fees via the empowerment of rollups, which will in turn reduce L2 gas fees. This is an obvious win given today's traffic, however isn't there a chance this will just cause a correlated increase in traffic, and bring fees back up to where they were in a once congested network? Similar to how adding more lanes on a highway tends to cause [more traffic](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Braess%27s_paradox), who's to say it wouldn't happen here? 100,000 TPS is a lot, but that kind of traffic is a pretty average number for a major web service/application, and ideally ETH (even with rollups) is a place where many services of such scale can exist
